Our Mission

AI-tocracy is a media collective and coalition exploring how technology can connect us more intentionally to each other, to our communities, and to the futures we dream of. We believe in the power of storytelling to inspire connection, imagination, and action. Through conversations, documentaries, and educational media, we share the voices of people creating technologies that serve the public good with care, creativity, and vision. Our work invites curiosity and collective dreaming. We look at how emerging technologies like AI and robotics are being shaped today, and how they can support more joyful, just, and connected lives tomorrow.

We envision a world where technology reflects the best of us: our desire to connect, to care, to create, and to thrive together. At AI-tocracy, we believe futures worth building begin with the stories we tell. That is why we gather and share stories from people reimagining technology in service of community, equity, and shared possibility.

What we do

Podcast: Long-form conversations with technologists, artists, organizers, and visionaries imagining more hopeful futures for AI and emerging technologies.

Mini Documentaries: Human-centered storytelling that explores how technology is shaping lives and how people are shaping technology with care and intention.

Short-Form Media: Accessible, engaging explainers and reflections designed for social platforms, classrooms, and community learning.

Our goal is to build a shared space for learning, imagining, and growing a collective vision for technology that uplifts, includes, and connects.

Why AI-tocracy?

AI-tocracy is a word we use to explore how power and technology are intertwined and how they can evolve in ways that center people and possibility.

The term comes from research describing the rise of systems where AI decision-making is concentrated in the hands of a few. We see it as a lens: a way to ask big, hopeful questions about how to create something more inclusive, more transparent, and more human-centered.
